A dog is lucky to be alive after falling from the top of a 150ft (45m) cliff.
Sandra Costin was walking Buttons off a lead when the pooch plunged over the edge, stimulating a big rescue effort.
A coastguard group sent to rescue her very first set out to see her at the bottom of the cliff while others winched down to put her in a rescue bag and brought her back to the top.
The dog suffered no injuries throughout the occurrence however Ms Costin said her animal was just ‘stunned’ and suffered no significant injuries.
The drama occurred near Thornwick Bay Holiday Park in Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
Ms Costin said: ‘A huge thank you from Button and her family, to the brave males and females who rescued her.
‘They saved our lovely lady and brought her back to us, she does not appear to have any significant injuries.
‘But she is shocked and stunned and now resting at home.
‘I was extremely foolish walking her without the lead on however she likes to run around. I will never ever forgive myself for putting her and those brave guys at threat. I can never ever thank [them] enough.’
A Bridlington Coastguard Rescue Team representative said: ‘The coastguard group got here on scene and released spotters to get visual on the dog.
