May 2 (UPI) — Firefighters in New Hampshire pertained to the rescue of a curious dog who stuck her head into a hole in a tree and wound up stuck.
The Milford Fire Department said a dog called Gracie poked her head through a hole in a tree behind the Boys and Girls Club in Milford and rapidly found she could not pull it back out.

Firefighters wound up utilizing portable tools to chip away at the wood and broaden the hole so Gracie’s head might securely be drawn back out.
“This is most likely the 2nd one given that I’ve been on the department that we have actually needed to rescue. We’ve had animals in ponds and things, however this is the very first time we have actually needed to pull a dog out of a tree,” Milford Fire Assistant Chief Mark Britton told WMUR-TV. “Not a typical thing at all.”
Gracie’s owners said the dog was not hurt.
