Feb. 6 (UPI) — Firemens in New york city pertained to the rescue of a dog that roamed out onto the recently formed ice covering a river and failed into the freezing water.
Gardiner Fire & Rescue said in a Facebook post that teams reacted Saturday when a local “reported their dog had actually broken through the recently formed ice on the Wallkill River.”

The rescuers got here to discover the dog was stranded about 30 feet from coast.
GFD Capt. John Barton and firemen Tony Baxter wore protective dry fits and ventured out into the slushy water to bring the “great young boy” back to dry land.
“Reunited with his owner, they were taken by NPRS ambulance to Gardiner Animal Healthcare Facility, where the dog was taken a look at and discovered to be in good condition,” the post said.
