March 14 (UPI) — Firefighters in Kentucky were dispatched to help a dog stranded on a cliff ledge — and wound up saving an emergency situation management authorities whose own rescue effort went awry.

W.R. Castle Fire-Rescue, based in Wittensville, said in a Facebook post that its rope rescue group was put together and dispatched to a location near U.S. 23 when Johnson County Emergency Management reported a dog stranded on a cliff.

The team got here on the scene and wound up assisting Paintsville firemens rescue Lawrence County’s Emergency Management director, who had actually ended up being stranded on the cliff while attempting to reach the dog.
