When this woman’s best friend called her and told her about these puppies on a farm and told her she had to go adopt the other puppy, the woman was glad she listened. @goldfishclub went to the Amish farm and adopted a puppy named Lucy. She brought Lucy home and realized that she was infected with lice. She gave her medicine and combed the lice out of her fur every day her every day until she was better. After two days, she was doing well, and now all they had to worry about was her hernia.
@goldfishclub Lucy the lice puppy is doing soooo much better! #puppy #bordercollie #rescuepuppy #rescue #veterinarytechnician
In a follow-up video, she clarified that the farm that she got Lucy from was not a puppy mill. The litter was not intentional, and they just ended up with puppies and were focused on selling them for very little and finding them good homes.
@goldfishclub Replying to @bitch55576 for everyone worried about her being a mill puppy: She was not being advertised or marketed. I had to seek her out and ask for her. The way I got this puppy in no way benefitted a mill. If ANY of you were there you would have made the same choice. It’s not the ethical conundrum you think it is. Do I think her genes are sound? No. But that doesn’t mean she should be left to die. Her previous “owner” is not keen on another litter from our discussion. These guys were simply not wanted. The donuts they sell are more lucrative than the puppies. #puppy #bordercollie #goldfishclub #rescue
@goldfishclub updated her followers that Lucy was officially in a foster program, and she was her foster. Although Lucy already had a lot of applications, they didn’t know when she would be able to go to her new home due to the lice.
@goldfishclub Replying to @jenmichellee “Breed experience required” is at the tippy top of her description 🙂 #fosterpuppy #bordercollie
As much as she loved little Lucy and her antics, she knew that she didn’t need a puppy and was just happy to help Lucy until she could find that forever home and family that would give her everything she deserved.
@goldfishclub She’s really great but me and my SO are not ready for a whole adult border collie 🤪 #animals #pet #fosterpuppy #fosterdog #bordercollie
