LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Las Vegas man is going through felony costs after he reportedly choked and tortured puppies outdoors of a northeast valley fast-food restaurant.
According to a police report, the suspect, who refused to supply his title, was taken into custody by Las Vegas police at roughly 3:55 p.m. on October 1 after an officer acquired an animal grievance on the 1600 block of N. Lamb Blvd. Police stated that a number of witnesses reported seeing an Asian male grownup choking puppies on the sidewalk.
Police arrived on the scene and contacted the suspect, who was holding a pair of puppies in his arms. He was taken into custody and the dogs have been confiscated. Officers referred to as Animal Control to the scene.
The suspect reportedly offered police with two false names that turned up nothing matching the names throughout data checks. The suspect informed officers that he had a warrant and the police report stated that he “continued to ramble off topic” earlier than saying that he needed a lawyer to be referred to as.
A witness informed police that she had video exhibiting the suspect grabbing the animals by the paws and scraping them on the bottom. She additionally stated it appeared that he tried to juggle the puppies. She offered the video to investigators.
Another witness informed officers that he noticed the suspect seize the puppies by their necks and strangle them till they started to cry. That witness confronted the suspect and waited for police to reach.
Upon arrival on the scene, Animal Control took custody of the puppies and reported that they have been clearly in shock.
The suspect was arrested as a John Doe and faces one cost for torturing the animals and one other for offering false info to a public officer.
