HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Franklin Trejos invested his last minutes attempting to secure a buddy. Those who understood him aren’t shocked.
Trejos, 68, passed away in the Lahaina wildfire as he tried to get away with a friend’s dog.
Geoff Bogar, a retired fire captain, understood Trejos for 35 years.
Bogar was likewise the one who discovered his friend’s body, resting on top of the remains of the Bogars’ precious 3-year-old golden retriever Sam.
