A little dog in Florence has a brand-new friend.
The dog was at the center of a heartfelt scene caught on electronic camera Monday when it was resuscitated by Los Angeles firemens throughout a house fire.
Firefighters reacted at about midnight to reports of a fire at the single-story residence in the 200 block of West 73rd Street. Flames that began in one space had actually infected the remainder of the house, creating heavy smoke.
The dog was discovered unresponsive near the home’s front door. A firefighter-paramedic positioned the still dog on its side on the lawn and supplied oxygen through a mask.
Soon, the dog’s chest started going up and down. A firemen was seen cuddling the dog as he commended the house owner’s smiling next-door neighbor.
No other injuries were reported. Details about how the fire began were not instantly available.
