A lady was rescued by firefighters after the automobile she was travelling in turned caught in flood water. The 56-year-old was pulled from the automobile alongside her canine, a spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service has mentioned.

The incident took place simply earlier than 9am this morning (December 9) close to to Maesbury Marsh in Oswestry, Shropshire. And now the general public has been warned to not drive into flood water to save lots of themselves from the same prevalence.




Shropshire Fire group assist shared on X: “TRAVEL ALERT. Please DO NOT enter flood water @shropsfire crews from @SFRS_Oswestry @SFRS_Baschurch @SFRS_Shrews @SFRS_JBainbr have rescued a 56yo feminine and canine from partially submerged automobile close to Maesbury Marsh.”

Details of the incident have been printed within the fireplace service’s log. It says: “At 08:53 on Saturday, 9 December, 2023, SFRS Fire Control acquired a name reporting an incident categorized as SSC Non Urgent in Oswestry.

“2 fireplace home equipment together with the Water Rescue Unit have been mobilised from Baschurch, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance. 1 woman rescued from {a partially} submerged automobile which had entered floodwater. Tirfor winch in use.”

They added: “The cease message was acquired at Sat, 12/09/2023 – 10:23.” Dramatic footage from the scene present a pale blue Ford trapped within the water.
