A eager runner goes the additional mile for pets in want after signing as much as this 12 months’s TCS London Marathon in reminiscence of her canine who died final 12 months.
Joanne Dobie, (46), is operating the 26.2-mile problem to lift very important funds for main vet charity PDSA after shedding her canine, a black labrador cross referred to as Coopers, final 12 months to most cancers.

“We lost our lovely girl Coopers last year and it totally broke us,” defined Joanne. “She was solely 10 years old, and it was all very sudden.

The self-employed editor who lives along with her husband Greg (48) in North London isn’t new to the problem.
“I ran the London Marathon 15 years ago when I was a lot younger,” she laughed. “I’m nonetheless a really eager runner although. I’ve performed quite a few half-marathons, three marathons and one half-ironman in my time. I get pleasure from it!
“I’m halfway there with my fundraising, it’s mainly come from generous friends and family who have seen my social media training updates, I also had a massive clear out and sold loads of clothes on Vinted.”
