A Labrador puppy was taken from its home Saturday night in Napa and situated the next day, according to an Instagram post by the Napa County Police Department.
The department was informed of a trespasser who smashed open a window and took the dog around 11:45 p.m.
Using home video monitoring, the dog’s owner validated he understood the suspect and supplied his details to the authorities department, Sgt. eri Sedgley said.
The dog and the suspect, Lonnie Glass, 64, were found together at about 10 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
Glass was jailed and booked into the Napa County prison.
The dog was gone back to its owner after the department validated its identity with the Napa County Animal Shelter.
“Justice prevails, and our community is safer with every step we take together,” the department’s Instagram post read.
