The children made the grim discovery close to Alexander Street within the city on Sunday, November 21.
The male Staffordshire bull terrier cross was present in a purple-wheeled holdall, partially wrapped in a toddler’s pink fleece prime.

Inspector for the charity, Robyn Myszor, mentioned: “The canine was a white and tan male complete Staffordshire bull terrier cross.
“He was roughly round three-years-old and was carrying a black leather-based collar with a silver and gold canine on it.
“He was discovered by a bunch of youngsters in a wooded space and the Police had been contacted.
“We are interesting for anybody who has seen somebody with this specific holdall inside the space round that point.
