A kid from Keokuk was “considerably” hurt after a dog attack on Sunday, April 16, in the 1,000 block of I Street, according to authorities.

The Keokuk Police Department on Monday said animal control is still looking for the dog.

Police said the animal is a big, black dog with spots on its chest and hindquarter, and with standing ears. The dog faced some lumber towards Soap Creek and South 16th Street.

If you have any details concerning who this dog might come from or where it might live, get in touch with the Keokuk Police Department through the non-emergency line.

If you see this dog, or any other dog you are not acquainted with, do not approach it, authorities said.
