NEWKIRK — A court docket date is ready for Seth Dwayne Clark, 45, Blackwell, in Kay County District Court.
Clark is dealing with three felony counts of cruelty to animals and eight misdemeanor counts of illegal leaving or disposing of a carcass.
Blackwell police report that on Aug. 10, officers obtained a report of useless puppies left in a trash can positioned within the 300 block of west Lincoln Ave. Animal management officer Cindy Yinger reportedly confirmed police a wooden trash can holder stuffed with trash baggage. A torn bag was on the bottom and inside was two useless puppies. Officials report that each puppies seemed to be emaciated. In all, officers report that they positioned eight useless puppies in varied phases of decomposition.
Police made contact with Clark who reportedly stated he was accountable and that the mom canine and three puppies have been nonetheless alive.
He reportedly agreed to give up the German Shepherd and puppies to animal management.
Police report that the puppies have been malnourished and lined in fleas.
Veterinarian Kaitlynn Funderburk, Blackwell Animal Hospital, reportedly informed police in a written assertion that Clark is a shopper of the ability however that she has not handled a German Shepherd nor puppies.
Funderburk examined the surrendered puppies and reported that they have been extraordinarily malnourished and anemic from the fleas. Clark is free on $5,000 bond.
