SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va (WSAZ/Gray News) – The handler of a cops dog has actually apparently been fired in connection with their K-9 partner’s disappearance.

WSAZ reports a Chapmanville Police Department K-9 handler has actually been fired today after offering irregular declarations concerning his missing out on dog.

Authorities in West Virginia said a cops dog called Chase was initially reported missing on April 11.

Officers reacted to a home to help find the canine and Chase’s handler informed them that the animal got away from a fenced lawn.

The following day, Chapmanville authorities asked for an examination into the possible theft of the dog.

After recuperating and evaluating hours of monitoring video, authorities said it was identified that Chase did not get away from his handler’s lawn.

Police likewise identified that Chase was not taken which his handler’s declarations about the dog’s disappearance were irregular.
