Justin Theroux’s Instagram followers got a glimpse of true love on Monday when he shared a heartwarming video documenting his 2022 adventures with his beloved pooch Kuma by his side.
The 51-year-old actor and screenwriter posted a video to the Instagram page he maintains for Kuma that featured a flurry of photos and videos of himself and the pit bull mix exploring nature and traveling together.
Kuma, who goes practically everywhere with Justin, looked as if she couldn’t be happier than when she was by his side.
Justin had plenty of sweet photos of his canine pal exploring the great outdoors with him, but she also posed for plenty of hilarious images, including a sweet photo of the two as they took a bath together.

‘HAPPY 2023 EV-FURRY-BUDDIES! 💕,’ Theroux wrote in the comment on Kuma’s account. ‘BUH-BYE 2022!’
He added the hashtag ‘#adoptdontshop’ to encourage pet owners to rescue animals in need, rather than empowering pet shops that may acquire or breed animals via unethical means.
Justin made it clear that Kuma likes to sleep in bed with him, and one cute clip showed her by his side and in his arms.
The gorgeous gray dog, who has a splash of white over her chest, looked almost as if she had a soft smile on her face before she whipped out her tongue to lick her owner.

While speaking to PeopleTV last year, Justin admitted one of his favorite experiences with the rescue dog was simply waking up next to her.
‘She fully puts her head of the pillows, I mean she sleeps like people,’ he said. ‘And it’s really nice to wake up in the morning and have her right there with you.’

He previously revealed that he had adopted Kuma in 2018 in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. She initially found her way to a high-kill shelter, before she was safely moved to a Texas-based dog rescue, which is how Justin learned of her.
Theroux has had close connections with others dogs in the past, and he has long been an advocate for dogs and other animals.
Years ago, he filmed an ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) urging dog owners not to chain up their pets and leave them outside, which he said could leave the animals with crushing boredom or loneliness, and also leave them exposed to the elements, particularly when it is cold outside.
