Eating super star Joey “Jaws” Chestnut got rid of a rain hold-up and gobbled his method to another win at Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hotdog consuming contest, downing 62 franks and buns in 10 minutes.
Chestnut out consumed runner-up Geoffrey Esper and the rest of a worldwide field of 15 competitive eaters by double digits to clinch his 16th title. Esper, of Oxford, Massachusetts handled to consume 49 hot dogs and buns.
In the females’s contest, protecting champ Miki Sudo required down 39 1/2 hot dogs and buns to gather her ninth Mustard Belt. But prior to the males might contend, rainy weather condition moved over New York City’s Coney Island and postponed the competitors for 2 hours.

The yearly contest on New York City’s Coney Island drew rivals from England, Canada, South Korea, Japan, Brazil and Australia, according to ESPN.
