A police officer who was one of many first on the scene of a deadly XL bully attack on a 10-year-old boy stated he thinks in regards to the incident “most days”.
Sgt Ross Phillips and Sgt Isabelle Coulson have been nominated for a St David Award for bravery after confronting the 96lb (43kg) canine, Beast.
Sgt Phillips stated the nomination was “tempered” by the tragedy.
The officer stated they had been met by a “chaotic” scene after they received to the city’s Penyrheol property, with Jack and the canine – an American XL bully – each in a home.
