Officers from the Irvine Police Department sprung into motion once they discovered a puppy overdosing on fentanyl.
The harrowing incident occurred yesterday after police arrested two individuals inside a Walmart for narcotics possession. Officers discovered the suspects’ puppy inside their automotive and seen it had been uncovered to fentanyl.
The puppy started to point out indicators of an overdose. Officers rapidly gave the canine a dose of Narcan, presumably saying its life. One of the officers rushed the puppy to an emergency veterinarian for remedy.
Irvine police arrested Caleb Aaron Gibson, 29, and Katherine Marylou Menke, 27, for animal cruelty and possession of narcotics.
The puppy is recovering effectively and can quickly be given to the Animal Services Unit.
