CANTON, New York City (WWNY) – The general public can listen Wednesday night to an Iraq war veteran speak about his cross-country journey that had him treking the Adirondacks with his “wonder dog.”
Robert Kugler will speak tonight at SUNY Canton’s Kingston Theater. He composed a narrative: “A Dog Called Stunning: A Marine, a Dog, and a Long Journey House.”
When Kugler discovered his cherished, 3-legged family pet, Bella, had terminal lung cancer, he discovered it difficult to accept and chose to take that journey.
The veteran, who deals with trauma, or PTSD, explains his experience in the Adirondacks as one that altered his viewpoint on life.
” In the military, it’s simple to state you constantly need to have 2 individuals all over you go due to the fact that you understand that can be an order. In routine life, it’s a lot more difficult to have somebody there for you that typically, however a dog is that individual and they live for you. A lot of canines are thrilled to simply be with their individuals,” stated Kugler
The occasion begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the general public.
