Council Bluffs, Iowa, warded off an obstacle to its pit bull restriction, as the Eighth Circuit verified on Thursday that a number of family pet owners stopped working to reveal the city did not have a reasonable basis for its interest in securing its residents from dog bites.
After reports that an out of proportion variety of dog bites in the early 2000s were attributable to pit bulls, the city enacted a regulation that disallowed anybody in the city from owning or offering them.
