An investigation has been launched after a canine was discovered ravenous to demise in a bin in Blackpool.
The canine, known as Lady, was present in a bin in Chesterfield Road on Sunday 14 April. The person who discovered the animal took the whippet-type canine to a neighborhood vet, who was so shocked by the canine’s situation that they contacted the RSPCA.
RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer Kelly Nix, who’s wanting into the incident, stated: “This poor canine’s physique is emaciated, with all her rib bones seen – she was clearly in a really poor situation when she died and she or he was coated in fleas.

“She was microchipped, so we know her name is Lady and she was 11 years old. However, our enquiries have been unable to trace her last owner. We’re urging anyone who has any information which will help us to get in touch.”
