Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity has teamed up with Silver Sage Girl Scout Troop 202 to assemble a brand-new toy field for Amity Dog Park in Nampa.
“The project is to build a dog toy box to hold dog toys for use by all the visitors to the park,” stated Cathy Cabalo, Girl Scout Troop 202 chief. “The girls decided that it should look like Snoopy’s doghouse. Thanks to Habitat ReStore’s supply donation, the project can remain feasible for the girls.”
The troop is made up of 4 younger junior scouts, and for this venture, they will obtain a Bronze Award; the primary of three high-level awards they will earn in Girl Scouts. Earning a Bronze Award asks the scouts to determine a necessity locally and handle it, and setting up the toy field for dogs within the space provides the women perception into how neighborhood outreach works.
Each of the scouts devoted at the least 20 hours of time to the venture. In that point they had been concerned in each side of building the toy field. The venture offers scouts with the chance to have interaction with and go away a mark on their neighborhood.
