EUCLID, Ohio (WOIO) – Danali the canine, rescued in Euclid over the weekend, is now recovering at an area animal shelter.
He was discovered neglected within the chilly and will hardly raise his head or stand.
“I’d love to charge the owner with neglect on this dog” stated Anne Mills with Animal Control for the Euclid Animal Shelter.
However, first Mills stated they need assistance discovering the proprietor.
She instructed 19 News, sadly she’s seen increasingly more stomach-turning instances of neglect.
“I feel it’s going to get worse before it gets better,” stated Mills.
In 2016, House Bill 60 was signed into regulation, making it a felony to knowingly hurt a pet.
Somehow, Mills stated since January she is seeing almost 20 extra uncared for dogs in comparison with final 12 months.
The shelter is now stuffed with different dogs dealing with comparable horrific conditions.
According to Mills, they not have any room, and dumped or left behind dogs is a large motive why.
“We just hope the people that have dogs in this climate and condition will call and get help, I mean we are there,” stated Mills.
