One lady was hospitalized and her Husky was put down on Tuesday night after an attack by a group of dogs in Highland, Indiana, according to cops.
At around 9:18 p.m., around 8 to 10 American Bully breed dogs left from a fenced yard in the 3500 block of Jewett Street and assaulted the lady and her dog, who were walking in the location, cops said. According to authorities, the lady attempted to protect her Husky from the dogs throughout the attack, however wasn’t able to.
While attempting to safeguard her Husky, the lady was bitten by the biggest of the dogs, which seemed the mom of the others. As the disorderly scene unfolded, a man shot that bigger dog, which later on passed away. The man, who hasn’t been determined, then left the scene.
The Husky was required to a vet, however was euthanized due to the seriousness of injuries it sustained. Its owner suffered injuries to her limbs and was required to the healthcare facility, cops said.
Three other ladies who stopped to help the Husky’s owner were likewise bitten, however declined to be required to the healthcare facility. The person who lives at the home where the dog left was at the scene, cops said, and attempted to separate her animals from assaulting the Husky.
The staying animals were gone back to the owner’s home, according to authorities. Charges were pending Thursday night as investigators and the city’s Animal Warden continued to examine.
