“Harry,” a six-year-old male German Shepherd is Haverhill’s Top Dog.
Harry, owned by Joann Licari, took first place within the third Annual “Haverhill Top Dog” contest performed by the Haverhill City Clerk Kaitlin M. Wright’s workplace. Harry is now proudly displaying canine license #1. Wright thanked those who participated and congratulated the winners.
“We had a great turnout of contestants! We have enjoyed seeing the photos of your furry friends and are excited to hang the photos in our office to showcase the winners. Be on the lookout for our contest next year,” she stated.
Second place went to “Karma,” a year-old feminine German Shepherd, owned by Ted Smallwood. Karma was awarded canine license #2. Finally, third Place was awarded to “Sadie,” a five-year-old feminine Standard Poodle, owned by Elisa Sanders. Sadie was awarded canine license #3.
The contest encourages residents to license their dogs by providing them a pleasant competitors. The winners had been randomly chosen Friday.
Dogs should be licensed earlier than May 31 or homeowners incur a late payment. New dogs could also be licensed at any time. Licensing could also be accomplished in person on the Clerk’s Office positioned at City Hall, Room 118, 4 Summer St., on-line at cityofhaverhill.com or by mail. A duplicate of a legitimate rabies certificates is required for licensing.
