HOHENWALD, Tenn. (WSMV)– A Lewis County dog groomer was detained recently after authorities state he fabricated the disappearance of a dog that passed away while in his care.
Court records reveal a dog called Boomer passed away in September while in the care of Darryl Wherry, owner of Paw Paw’s Deck Park Opportunity Animal Medical Spa. Wherry was worked with to board Boomer while the dog’s owners were on holiday, authorities stated.
On Sept. 6, Wherry got in touch with Boomer’s owners to state the dog had actually escaped. The Lewis County Herald reports Wherry had actually begun an intricate project to look for the dog. Posters were positioned around Hohenwald and a $750 award was provided for details that resulted in Boomer.
