A violent man who beat up a canine proprietor with a steel bar in an unprovoked attack has been jailed.
Roy Scott, of Burch Road, Gravesend, left his sufferer with a number of damaged bones after assaulting them in Medway.
A person was sitting outdoors a store in Strood Retail Park along with his canine when he was approached by Scott on August 2.
The pair had identified one another previously however Scott unexpectedly tried to kick the person within the face.
The sufferer stood up and, when Scott pulled a steel bar from his trousers, tried to run away.

Scott chased him into Commercial Road and struck him 13 instances with the bar earlier than leaving the scene in direction of the High Street.
The sufferer sustained a damaged arm, damaged finger and bruising to his physique throughout his ordeal, and later went to hospital for remedy.
Scott, 41, was arrested in Northfleet on August 9 and later charged with inflicting grievous bodily hurt with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He pleaded responsible and, at Woolwich Crown Court, final Thursday (November 9), Scott was sentenced to 1 yr and ten months’ imprisonment.
Detective Constable Georgie Dell, of the Kent crime squad, mentioned: “This was an unprovoked assault on a victim who suffered serious injuries whilst just sitting peacefully in a town centre.
“Scott is undoubtedly volatile and a danger to the public, and Medway will be a safer place while he is behind bars.”
This isn’t the primary time Scott has been jailed.

In 2019 one black sock left at against the law scene helped police determine him as a burglar who focused a home and two outlets.
Scott was an impressive suspect in a number of crimes between August and December 2018.
He had stolen jewelry, cigarettes, money, a cell phone and a pill pc in a number of incidents.
Police had recognized him from fingerprints and, after pleading responsible to the offences on that event, he was sentenced to 3 years and eight months.
