MSPCA Law Enforcement and Granby Police are requesting the general public’s help in discovering the owner of a dog left hurt, underweight and abandoned in the Western Massachusetts neighborhood in early April.
The female dog is referred to as blended breed and having a medium-sized build. She was discovered connected to a pole on Porter Street the night of April 4, according to the MSPCA-Angell in a press release Friday. She is thought to be about 2 years of ages.
Officials from Granby Animal Control discovered the dog in her underweight, hurt and abandoned state, the MSPCA-Angell said.

She was moved to the MSPCA’s Boston Adoption Center on April 10 — where she is presently recuperating, the MSPCA-Angell included.
“It was clear when the dog came to us that she needed help,” said Mike Keiley, the MSPCA-Angell director of Adoption Centers and Programs, said in a declaration. “She was underweight and hurt, but while in our care she is improving daily.”
The MSPCA is asking anybody with details about the dog’s owner to call its Law Enforcement department’s hotline at 800-628-5808.
