“Overwhelming” assist has come pouring in for the household of a much-loved girl who died at home simply weeks after she was attacked by dogs.
Marie Stevens was discovered lifeless in her personal home by her husband Mark simply days after spending two weeks in hospital. On August 18, Marie Stevens was attacked by two Rottweilers and bitten multiple times on her arm.
Having had surgical procedures on her arm and leg, Marie was discharged from hospital on September 1. The 40-year-old died at her home in Holden Road, in Brighton-le-Sands, on September 3 after her husband discovered her on the lavatory ground.

The assault allegedly occurred as Ms Stevens “tried to stroke” the dogs, who have been on a lead, on Park Lane West, in Netherton. It was reported that the canine homeowners, a person and a girl, tried to cease the rottweilers.
Post Mortem outcomes confirmed Marie had died of a pulmonary embolism, which Mark says is a results of the accidents she sustained within the assault, having suffered a blood clot that travelled from her left leg to her coronary heart.
Mark, who met Marie on a blind date and “by no means seemed again” mentioned he shouldn’t be planning a funeral for his 40-year-old spouse. Previously chatting with the ECHO, he mentioned: “Everyone across the neighbourhood knew her, she continuously laughed and made everybody completely happy and really feel good. We did not have any youngsters, we had our much-loved dogs.”
