Eight hearth engines and round 60 firefighters tackled a flat hearth on St Lukes Mews on the Isle of Dogs.
The entire of a four-roomed flat on the third ground of a residential block was alight.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 55 calls to the blaze.
Station Commander Andy McKay, who’s on the scene, mentioned: “Firefighters labored rapidly to carry the hearth below management.
“West Ferry Road stays closed between Byng Street and Marsh Wall while crews make the scene protected. This is inflicting heavy visitors, so we’re urging folks to keep away from the native space.
“Our Control Officers gave very important hearth survival steering to these contained in the building on easy methods to keep protected while firefighters introduced the hearth below management. There are at present no reviews of any accidents.”
The Brigade was known as at 1901 and the hearth was below management by 2011. Fire crews from Shadwell, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green, Dowgate, Dockhead and surrounding hearth stations attended the scene.
