To say Amy Etheridge has a full home at her Allen home could be an understatement. With 4 dogs of her personal, she took in a pregnant foster canine named Ruby.
“I answered a Facebook advert that mentioned ‘pregnant and dumped’,” Etheridge mentioned. “So that is how I ended up on this place.”
Now Etheridge is caring for Ruby and her puppies, all 18 of them.
“I knew she was pregnant once we obtained her. We have been pondering perhaps 7 to 10 puppies,” Etheridge mentioned. “At 7:30 on the dot, she had her first puppy, and at 5:30 on the dot that afternoon, she had her 18th puppy!”
There are 9 male and 9 feminine hound combine puppies. The litter is 6-puppies shy of a Guinness World Record of 24 puppies in a single litter, set by a mastiff within the United Kingdom.
“You look into their eyes, and it is like they’re trying into your soul,” Etheridge mentioned laughing. “There’s a number of that I wish to preserve, however no. My purpose from the very starting is to present the puppies a loving home.”
Etheridge began a Facebook page called ‘Ruby With 18 Puppies’ to maintain the neighborhood posted. She’s acquired donations of meals and time to assist increase the big household, which she says is a full-time job.
