A ‘bully-type’ canine, who was shot lifeless in East Kilbride after attacking three folks and a Collie, has been pictured for the primary time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “Local officers attended and tried to restrain the canine which was dangerously uncontrolled. Armed officers subsequently attended and the canine was shot lifeless by police.

“Three folks reported receiving minor accidents throughout this incident. Enquiries are ongoing to determine the breed of canine and there will probably be a continued police presence within the space whereas enquiries proceed.

“As with any firearm discharge, the circumstances of the incident will probably be referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC).”

Later the power added: “An 18-year-old lady will probably be reported to the PF in reference to offences referring to the Dangerous Dog Act.”
