Firemens and park rangers saved a lady who got stuck in the mud near Shadow Cliffs Lake in Pleasanton on Saturday after tracking her dog down a gorge.

The lady called for help at 3:33 p.m., stating she was stranded on a path that runs over the levee in Shadow Cliffs Regional Entertainment Location, according to East Bay Regional Park District representative Dave Mason.

After following her dog down the high slope, the lady discovered herself caught in swampy ground that exuded with about a foot of water.

Teams from the park district and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department assisted raise her back up the embankment with rope, Mason stated. She and the dog were not hurt.
