Firefighters safely rescued a Golden Retriever puppy who ran onto a retention pond and fell by means of the ice in Libertyville, hearth officers stated.
The Libertyville Fire Department responded round 12:30 p.m. Wednesday to the world of Golf Road and Country Club Drive in Libertyville for a report of a water rescue.
A 911 dispatcher reported a Golden Retriever fell by means of the ice on the pond south of the pool on the Libertyville Recreation Department.
Libertyville Assistant Fire Chief Justin Hubbard instructed Lake and McHenry County Scanner {that a} father and son have been walking on the park.
Their 11-month-old puppy, which was off leash, ran onto the icy retention pond.
The canine fell by means of the ice roughly 20-30 toes offshore, Hubbard stated.
A firefighter placed on a Mustang swimsuit, which is for chilly water and ice situations, and went into the pond.
The firefighter was capable of carry the canine to shore. It was clinging to ice shells when the firefighter reached it, Hubbard stated.
