Dog mother to be?!
Bachelor Nation fans was familiar with and like Susie Evans on Season 26 of “The Bachelor,” and now the fan favorite just recently vacated to Los Angeles.
Susie notoriously relocated with fellow Bachelor Nation stars Andrew Spencer and Justin Glaze and she may now be including another roomie to the mix.
Susie required to Instagram to share images of a puppy she is considering embracing.
She said, “Ok I’m feeling kind of nervous, but really excited. I think I’m going to go meet little baby Phoenix today. She is with her foster family and she’s technically a puppy, but she is potty trained and is good with other dogs, cats, adults, and children. She’s ticking a lot of the boxes. She’s a chihuahua and French bulldog mix, so I feel like she’ll be small enough that she can travel with me anywhere stateside.”
The Bachelor Nation star went on and shared why she’s nervous, stating, “I’m not entirely settled in my apartment, but she does seem like a good fit and I just think she’s so stinking cute. I want to make sure that she has a bubbly personality too, I just haven’t done this as an adult by myself before, so I’m just feeling really nervous about getting a dog. I think it’s good that I’m nervous because I’m taking it seriously. It just feels like a first date but with way more commitment.”
Susie went and fulfilled Phoenix and shared a charming image of her stating she “loves her.”
Despite their very first conference working out, Susie shared why she’s still reluctant about embracing the puppy.
She said, “So basically here’s the situation. She was thrown out of a car and found a few weeks ago. She was skin and bones when they got her. She doesn’t have her vaccines and she goes to get spayed tomorrow and then starts her three shot series that will take about 7-8 weeks. She can’t be around other dogs/go potty in a public area until she’s safe with those vaccines. Since I’m at an apartment complex that could be really tricky. In the meantime.”
Susie advanced, sharing, “I initially was 100% in, but I have a trip to Hawaii in June that would be before her shots are complete. So I couldn’t take her to a sitter/public facility with other dogs and. I can’t bring her with me to Hawaii since she’s not vaccinated yet. So I would have to figure out someone that could take her while I’m gone that week that would be able to manage her in their home without other dogs. ( idk I literally adore her and went and picked out this collar for her but now that I’m thinking of the logistics with her not being vaccinated, it’s a bit complicated. I’m so torn.”
Susie said she will keep us published on her journey to ending up being a dog mother. We hope it exercises for these 2!
