Pundit Alyssa Farah Griffin took a shot at GOP presidential main candidate Vivek Ramaswamy after the Republican used Nikki Haley’s maiden identify on his marketing campaign web site.
“Of course Vivek is referring to Nikki Haley by her maiden name – Namrata Randhawa – on his his website,” Griffin, who’s a political analyst for CNN and co-host of ABC’s The View, wrote on X, the platform previously often known as Twitter. “Reminder: Nikki is her name on her birth certificate & this is a dog whistle. Crazy to see it coming from a fellow Indian American.”
Griffin included a screenshot in her posting of a passage from Ramaswamy’s marketing campaign web site refuting criticism Haley, one other GOP presidential main hopeful, had leveled in opposition to him on international coverage.
“WRONG. Keep lying, Nimarata Randhawa,” the marketing campaign website wrote in response to the assertion “Vivek doesn’t support Isreal.”
“The desperation is showing,” he wrote of Haley and others who’ve raised considerations about his positions on foregin coverage and the Middle East.
During final week’s GOP main debate, Haley and Ramaswamy clashed in a heated argument throughout which Haley stated the political newcomer’s lack of expertise within the international coverage area “shows.”
Ramaswamy responded by sarcastically wishing Haley “well in your future career on the boards of Lockheed (Martin) and Raytheon.”
