MT. STERLING, Ky. (LEX 18) — The household of a 10-year-old from Mount Sterling is on the lookout for help after he was attacked by a canine over the weekend.
Jaland Cornelius was along with his father, Adam Cornelius, as he labored in a parking zone close to this weekend’s Court Days pageant. Adam claims a canine, which he describes as a pit bull, was on an extended leash tied to a tree. The canine charged after Jaland and was capable of attain and attack him.

Adam stated he and his different son leaped into motion to get Jaland away from the canine, and Jaland was taken to UK Hospital in Lexington.
