CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A household is devastated and looking for solutions after their canine was shot and killed close to their Chesterfield Township home.
“I just went numb because how could somebody do this to my family before Christmas?” stated the canine’s proprietor, Chelsea Young.
Chesterfield Township Police are investigating and stated the pitbull/husky combine was shot and killed on the morning of Dec. 23 close to 24 Mile Road and Walnut Drive.
Young described their canine Stella as form, mild and loving.
“She had this little heart mark on the top of her forehead — and she loved everybody.”
Young stated her husband was home as Stella got here limping as much as their again porch after being shot within the lungs.
The single gunshot killed the canine.
Young believes it occurred in or close to their unfenced yard.
“It was here,” she stated. “She would have not gotten far; she wouldn’t have made it home to be with us in those last final moments.”
Aside from dropping a beloved pet, the unsolved capturing has robbed the household of their sense of security in and round their home.
“I’m scared, I’m overwhelmed,” Young stated. “The person who did this has taken away my home from not just me, but my children.”
Young is counting on the police to seek out the person accountable.
