MT. PLEASANT — A Mt. Pleasant family suffered damage to their home and lost their family dog, Tank, in a house fire, Wednesday night, and the neighborhood right away rallied around them.
Around 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, emergency situation teams from Mt. Pleasant, New London, and Salem reacted to reports of a house fire in the 400-block of North Main Street.
While the preliminary fire situated on the very first level of the two-story home was rapidly torn down by Mt. Pleasant and New London teams, an overall of 25 firemens invested roughly 3 hours going through the home to look for locations.
