An Escambia County man has actually been sentenced to 6 years in jail for beating a lap dog.
Andrew Vetters was sentenced to worsened animal ruthlessness and trespassing after formerly pleading no contest.
According to private investigators, Vetters entered his roomie’s personal bed room without her consent and abused her dog.
“This abuse was captured on a camera and the disturbing footage depicted the defendant as he violently beat the small dog on several occasions,” the State Attorney’s Office said.
Once launched from jail, Vetters will be on probation for 4 years.
