An Escambia County man is accused of capturing his canine after it bit his lip.
Nathaniel Bradley, 36, was charged with animal cruelty, utilizing a firearm throughout a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He remained within the Escambia County Jail with out bond.
A witness informed deputies that he was in his room with Bradley’s canine when Bradley walked in, showing to be intoxicated.
Bradley began “to get in the dog’s face” earlier than the person warned him the canine would chew him, in response to an arrest report. The canine then bit Bradley on the lip.
Bradley then exited the room threatening the canine that was following him, the report continues.
Deputes discovered the canine with a gunshot wound to the left in a kennel on the entrance porch. The gun was positioned in Bradley’s room. Deputies famous within the report that Bradley appeared “extremely intoxicated.”
The canine was transported by Escambia County Animal Control for therapy.
