Ten dogs, together with eight puppies and an English bulldog that was shot within the face, were rescued from homes within three days in Pierce County.
The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County (HSTPC) stated animal management introduced within the dogs between Saturday and Monday, beginning with a 4-month-old Labrador Retriever puppy that had “a deep laceration on his neck and a cut near the eye with an infected abscess.”
Veterinarians decided the accidents have been from a collar that was too tight, in response to HSTPC.

Animal management officers stated the bulldog was shot in self-defense after it reportedly charged at somebody dwelling within the home it was present in. Therefore, it’s not being investigated as a cruelty case.
The canine was shot 3 times within the face and shoulder, breaking her tooth and fracturing her jaw. As of Tuesday, one of many bullets remains to be lodged in her shoulder.
Staff on the HSTPC stated she may have “complicated surgery” to take away it.
Community member finds 8 deserted puppies
A neighborhood member discovered eight 2-day-old puppies deserted in a field close to Bonney Lake shortly after the bulldog was rescued. The puppies have been final reported to be recovering on the Humane Society the place employees conduct round the clock feedings and maintain them heat in an incubator.
Due to the injuries, The Humane Society stated it urgently wants donations to take care of the dogs.
