Hot Springs Elks Lodge 380 will hold its Second Annual Fun Dog Show on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lodge, 132 Abbott Place.
All continues to go to support Elk tasks at the 5 Human Development Centers in Arkansas, a press release said.
The neighborhood is welcome to get involved with their dogs in contests consisting of “Most Talented,” Costume,” and Dog Look Alike,” Junior Handler” and “Judges’ Choice.”
There will be rewards for each contest, and entry cost is $10. Registration will be from 10-11 a.m., and an existing vaccination record will be needed; images will be accepted.
“All dogs should be on leash and no aggressive habits will be enabled,” the release said.
There will be a “Parade of Dogs” at 11 a.m., with competitors beginning instantly following the parade.
In addition to the dog program, a concession stand will be open, with hamburgers and hot dogs for sale; a Drug Awareness show table will provide informative products; a display screen from the Arkadelphia Human Development Center will exist by team member from the center; the Garland County Humane Society will have a display screen and will do “identity breaking” for a small cost; and a raffle will be held.
An unique presentation of obedience workouts will exist by Pat Katayama and her dog, “Rita,” have actually reached a really high level of competitors accomplishment, and was among the choose dog/owner groups welcomed to the AKC National Competition,” the release said.
Spectators are welcome at no charge, and everybody in the Hot Springs, Malvern, Jessieville and surrounding neighborhoods are welcome to come with their dogs, “or simply to have an enjoyable day,” it said.
