SAN ANTONIO – After having spent two years on the streets, an elderly canine has lastly reunited together with her family members.
According to San Antonio Animal Care Services, Coco, a chihuahua, was discovered mendacity on a road coated in fleas and dust final Saturday by an ACS officer.
“The poor pup seemed to be struggling, showing signs of stiffness, and was noticeably underweight,” ACS officers mentioned.
The officer scanned Coco for a microchip and located that her household had been trying to find her for 2 years, in keeping with ACS.
Coco was quickly reunited together with her household and so they had been “relieved and heartbroken” to study her hardships on the streets, the shelter mentioned.
“This story has a silver lining — a tale of triumph over adversity. Coco is now safe and sound, back in the loving arms of her family,” ACS officers mentioned. “Coco can now spend her golden years in the warmth and comfort of her forever home.”
The shelter urges pet homeowners to microchip their pets, as it could actually assist save their lives.
