‘Easter miracle’; Abandoned canine discovered with extreme gunshot wounds survives surgical procedure

CONSUMERS, Carbon County — A heartfelt canine rescue rapidly grew to become the middle of a group’s consideration Friday, after a lady rescued a misplaced canine and realized shortly after making it to the vet that the state of affairs was extra dreadful than she knew.

The canine, now named BluJay, was discovered wandering close to the ghost city of Consumers close to Price and Helper. The rescuer, Tanner Tamllos, mentioned in a Facebook post that she’d taken him to the vet, and that he was present in poor situation.

“He is in terrible shape and has been out there for quite some time and looks as if he has been attacked by something,” Tamllos mentioned.

The attacker, because it turned out, was seemingly a human. Tamllos posted an update later that night; there had been two bullets discovered lodged in BluJay’s head. It was clear he’d been shot twice between the eyes. According to Tamllos, BlueJay had a ten% likelihood of survival.

“We’ve given him pain medication, and IV and removed one of the bullets but he is too weak to do surgery right now. We will see if he makes it through the night and can handle surgery in the morning,” Tamllos mentioned in an update. “We are all outraged and shocked, just as I’m sure you all are too.”

The following afternoon, BluJay had made it via the evening and surgical procedure. Both bullets had been eliminated, and BluJay would later must face surgical procedure once more to take away his total left eye. But, he was alive.

By this level, BluJay’s story was being adopted by a whole bunch of group members, all devastated and invested in his restoration.

Finally, on Easter Sunday afternoon, Tamllos introduced he was up and consuming.

“Easter miracle! Thank you Dr. Harmer, his family and staff for working so hard for OUR boy!!” She mentioned.

Tamllos utilized group assist and labored with a number of native businesses to assist increase funds to pay for BluJay’s vet payments.
