EAST HAVEN, Conn. — A 6-month-old beagle is now becoming a member of the ranks of the Connecticut first responders who saved him.
The mayor of East Haven says fireplace crews wanted to step in to avoid wasting him when he was left alone in a sizzling automobile.
The fireplace station adopted him, and he is now being named their official help canine.
Nearly 7,000 votes had been forged in a ballot to determine on the pup’s identify, with “Riggs” coming in first place.
East Haven’s mayor says they look ahead to the constructive impression Riggs may have on first responders and the group.
