Ghaziabad: A person allegedly beat a six-month-old puppy to demise with an iron rod in an inebriated state in Muradnagar’s New Defence Colony on Sunday. In a video, circulating on social media, the person is seen holding the rod and circling the puppy after the alleged assault.A criticism submitted by a People For Animals (PFA) member Surbhi Rawat claimed that the accused, Kallu alias Ankit, saved hitting the puppy even because it saved yelping in ache. While cops are but to get well the carcass, the complainant stated the puppy died as a result of trauma and was buried later by locals.PFA’s authorized advisor Ashish Sharma, who lives within the neighbourhood and had shot the video, claimed the accused would usually attack dogs within the locality. “On Sunday night, I heard the puppy’s cries and on reaching the spot saw Kallu bashing it until it collapsed to the ground and then marched around the body with an iron rod,” he stated.Ashish claimed he tried to cease the accused however Kallu threatened to kill him.A case was registered in opposition to Kallu below IPC Sections 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle), 452 (trespassing is the act of coming into one other person’s property with out that person’s specific or implied permission, 504 (whoever deliberately insults, and thereby offers provocation to any person), 506 (punishment for prison intimidation). ACP Masoori Naresh Kumar advised TOI that Kallu was dealing with expenses in three instances, all associated to violence. “We are checking CCTV footage from the area. We can’t confirm if the puppy has died as no carcass has been found yet,” the officer stated.
