Firefighters rescued 4 dogs from a kennel after a close-by shed caught fireplace in a backyard.

Essex fireplace service was known as to Notley Road in Braintree at about 13:15 BST.

The three crews that attended requested a fourth equipment be despatched to assist after the flames unfold to a storage.

“Diesel, Flo, Gigi and Miley have been unhurt through the incident and have been reunited with their homeowners,” a fireplace spokesperson added.

Group supervisor Scott Meekings mentioned fireplace crews labored shortly to get the blaze beneath management.

“I’m actually happy we have been in a position to get to the dogs shortly earlier than the smoke began to have an effect on them,” he added.

Mr Meekings warned Notley Road can be closed “for a while” because the scene was made secure.
