“Dogs should live as long as their masters,” artist and long-time Bangor Daily News columnist Tom Hennessy wrote many years in the past on the again of a drawing he did of one in all my dogs.
I agree along with his sentiment, however have a unique take. Yes, it’s unhappy that dogs don’t reside longer. But as a result of their lives are comparatively quick, if we’re fortunate, we get to have loads of completely different dogs — with their completely different personalities and quirks — in our lives. That is a big blessing.
